In The New Year...

Last year, Dick Clark had a stroke and wasn't able to do the New Year's celebration in Times Square. It was the first year he'd missed since he began hosting Rockin New Year's Eve. He was back last night, which was great. He hasn't fully recovered but it is truly amazing how far he's come in a year. Read a story here. Dick Clark is a part of my youth--when I was a kid, he was the baby-faced host of American Bandstand and I didn't think he'd ever age. Well...it happens to all of us.

I need a new template for my blog now that the Christmas season is almost over. I love this template but I can't have a cat wearing a Santa hat all year and I've no idea how to get rid of it, since it's not my design. Oh well. A template-hunting I shall go.

Saturday Six:

1. From a financial standpoint, was 2005 a good year or a bad year for you? Do you expect 2006 to be better or worse?

It was a mixed year. We had both very good things happening and also very bad.

2. What was your least favorite moment of 2005?

I don't think I can pick just one among many favorites. :)

3. Did you lose anyone close to you in 2005? If so, who were they?

Not through death but we had a painful separation from a grandson.

4. Take this quiz (if you haven't already!): What do you know about blogging?

You Know a Lot About Blogging

You got 5/8 correct!

Your not a total blogging geek yet... give it time.

5. Where were you when 2005 began? Where were you when 2005 ended?

In my living room...both times!

6. Did you make new year's resolutions for 2005? If so, how many did you keep?

Yes...and didn't keep any of them! :(

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Don't think of them as Resolutions. Think of them as Goals or even just "Things You'd Like." But list up to seven things you hope to accomplish before 2006 draws to a close.

Okay, as long as they're not called "resolutions" because I'm not making any more of those!

1. Join the water aerobics classes at the gym
2. Lose weight
3. Visit Baltimore/Washington D.C.
4. Visit Tennessee again
5. Pay off all our bills again
6. Read the books on my TBR (to be read) list before getting any more!
7. Become more organized and less of a procrastinator
