One morning, Cubby and Kosmo were sleeping peacefully on our bed.

Cubby sez, Kosmo's back is bothering him!

Don't worry, Kosmo, I know what to do! I gives good back rubs!

Kosmo sez, ooooh, that's it, that's the spot!

What, Mommy Bean? You want a back rub too? I should start charging for my services!

Cats on Tuesday: Taking Care of Daddy Bean

Cubby sez, Recently we haf been very worried bout Daddy Bean. Him got an owee in hims toe and it spreaded to his foot and ankle. So him hadda take a lotta medicine!

Munchkin sez, a couple times Mommy Bean hadda take him to the mergency room! And he almost hadda stayed inna hospittle, oh noes!

Mouse sez, Mostly he was just sapozed to rest and take his medicine.

Indigo sez, I holded him down to make sure he got lots of rest!

And we guarded him to make sure no one disturbed him!

Daddy Bean is gettin better very slowly but it's happenin! I fink he'll be just fine!

TB update: We went to an appointment with the podiatrist last Thursday and the main concern is that TB's toe is still very swollen. The doctor debrided the toe and discovered that the infection is still trying to drain. She wants him to continue the oral antibiotics and he's probably going to need another MRI of his toe, foot and ankle to see what's going on. Sigh.

Cats on Tuesday: Family Bed

Sometimes TB and I take a nap in the afternoon. We're usually joined by five of the six cats.

What? Don't see all six? If you check out my side of the bed, you'll see a lump under the covers between Indigo and Mouse.

Here I yam, sez Munchkin, crawling out from under the covers.

Why do I like being under the covers? It's nice and snuggly warm under there!

Indigo sez, I never woulda got on the bed if I knowed Munchkin was under there!

Uh-oh, the girls might start fighting! Best go back to sleep!

TB update: The infection in his foot cleared up enough so that he could be released from IV antibiotics. He has to take augmentin orally for a couple of weeks and then go back to the doctor. His toe has much better color but is still very swollen!

One day last week, TB called to me to come and look in his office--and bring my camera. I'm glad I did. I posted one of the pictures yesterday for Man Cat Monday but they're all so cute I decided to post the rest.

Cubby was so close to our Sox, who died of cancer some years ago. I'm so happy to see him bonding so well with Kosmo now.

Cubby sez, let's help each other groom ourselves. I'll get your hard to reach places and you get mine!

Kosmo sez I like dat idea!

We're having a bromance!

Cats on Tuesday: Portrait of Cubby

Yesterday I wrote that I usually take tons of pictures before I find one that is near perfect. One day, Cubby was posing so handsomely but whenever I tried to take a picture, he moved! The picture I posted yesterday was one of a series that I took trying to get that "just right" pose.

It looks pretty good but let's try one more.

I'll hold perfectly still cuz I'm kinda tired of the flashy ting already!

Today's small blessings so far:

1. Heidi's bus was on time today so we didn't have to wait long. Yesterday, the bus hadn't shown up by 7:30 so we ended up driving her to work. Luckily there were some things we needed from the store.

2. It's supposed to get up to around 60 today. I'm thankful for the mild winter we've been experiencing!

3. Heidi gets back to town around the same time Kristin gets dropped off today so I'm grateful I'm not going back and forth.

4. Munchkin's ears have been looking better although I'm not sure the ear mite infection is totally cleared up.

5. I'm so glad I collected so many CDs over the years. Now I have plenty of music to listen to when I'm sick of the radio station's play list.

Cats on Tuesday: Hibernation Mode

I haven't had much luck getting pictures of the gang doing anything but sleeping. They do play but by the time I get my camera, they've moved on to other things. It's not just the cold weather that makes them sleepy. Today is a nice, mild day.

Today's small blessings:

1. The vet's going to let us buy ear mite medicine for Munchkin without making an appointment for her. So we just have to pay for the medicine.

2. My daughter has to work on her birthday today but at least she's got a day shift and can have a hot meal with us at dinner. :)

3. My other daughter has the day off. I like it when all or most of the family can be together on birthdays and holidays.
