Morning Rituals

In the morning, we (meaning me or Aunt Heidi or TB or some combination thereof) get our Little T ready for school. He's usually up by 7, has breakfast, brushes his teeth and washes his hand and then we get dressed.

It's fun to play This Little Piggy with him as he's getting himself dressed. Sometimes I say it the usual way:

This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed home
This little piggy had roast beef
This little piggy had none
And this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home!"

Sometimes I vary it just for the fun of it and he really enjoys it. I might say something like: this little piggy had breakfast, this little piggy brushed his teeth, this little piggy put his pants on, this little piggy watched Sponge Bob and this little piggy cried wee wee wee here comes the school bus!" I can also get pretty silly too and he laughs.

What are you watching so intently, Tomas? It's not the TV--Pop Pop is watching the morning news.

Oho, it's the cat!

Now it's time for the shirt...where do the arms go?

Socks can be a real challenge.

It's not that he has any trouble putting them on. He's a master!

They need to be on just so or off they come! Perfection is not easy to attain!

It can be downright frustrating for Little T. Once the socks are on, he puts on his shoes and the velcro straps have to be placed just so!

Soon he's done and able to play for a few minutes...until the bus comes!

Interesting how you change the words to the little piggy rhyme. I have a how-to article on this rhyme you might want to take a look at:
