Man Cat Monday: Special Visitors

On Thursday, our newest boys Cubby and Sox, got a very special visit. Their owner, Allison, tragically died after a long battle with cancer. She left behind loving family members who cared about Cubby and Sox but who were unable to take them in due to circumstances beyond their control. Since we adopted them, Allison's mother Jean has been in contact with us just to chat and catch up on the boys. Allison's son Matthew has been away at college. Now that he's home, they asked to visit the boys and of course we said yes. We've made it clear that they are always welcome to call or visit to keep up with the boys.

On Thursday, Matthew drove his grandmother down from northern NJ and spent a couple of hours visiting the boys and visiting with us. They were very happy to see that the boys are content, having fit right into our household routines. We sat laughing and chatting about the boys' personalities, habits and little quirks.

It was good to know that any worries Jean and Matthew may have had were assuaged by how well Cubby and Sox are doing. It was a wonderful visit!

It is wonderful that they have fit in so well to their new home, and that their family still wants to stay in touch!
