Sherbert

I just received an email from the kind hearted lady that was involved in helping to save Cubby and Sox after their beloved owner died of cancer. Doreen loves animals and is very involved in rescues. She is in the process of rescuing a cat from California! A volunteer in California offered to fly him to NJ at no charge! The big expense will be his boarding--$6 per day.

I am trying to think how I can help. I don't have any extra money and I'm not handy with crafts. Here is the email from the shelter in California--maybe some generous cat lovers can help Sherbert with his boarding expenses!

SWEET Wonder cat, Mr. "SHERBERT" needs our help!!!


The North Central Animal Shelter, Los Angeles, California is currently holding a super friendly cat named "SHERBERT". Unfortunately, this sweet cat is now at a critical point because he has been 'Red Listed' by the shelter, meaning his time is up immediately if he can not be rescued. We have called the N. Central Animal Shelter and did speak with Ana, who is caring for SHERBERT. Ana can hold him a few days, but he must be pulled ASAP. Basically, this cat is on limited borrowed time and if we are to save him must act now.

SHERBERT is a male, orange Tabby DSH approximately 2+ years with personality plus. He caught the eye of a woman in New Jersey as well as a girl working at the shelter currently housing him. SHERBERT is a bit under the weather with a 'cold' and appears to have a slight handicap, but he has won the heart of Doreen who lost a cat to cancer months ago. Seems this sweet boy has several people pulling for him from Texas to New Jersey to California.

Everyone is working to pull together a plan to have SHERBERT pulled from the shelter, checked out by a vet for a bit of care to help prepare him for transport. In the mean time, several groups of people are working out logistics and transport plans connecting SHERBERT with Doreen in New Jersey.

So, Mr. "SHERBERT" would like to make a request to any of you that can help save him. He is a sweet cat that just needs a bit of luck and compassion from some humans. Please join in and team up with us to save a life worth saving. It may take a little time and effort, but this will be very rewarding. Mr. "SHERBERT" needs some financial assistance as well. SHERBERT appears to have a 'slight cold' so he needs to be checked out by a veterinarian. He may need to have some blood tests, X-rays and a few nights of boarding in the hospital until he's feeling better and ready for a trip to New Jersey. This means we must raise some funding and need some kind BIG-hearted people to contribute any amount of money they can. SHERBERT says he will take $1, $5, $10 or more.
