Since this whole process began, TB has lost 56 pounds and you can really see it now. I took some pictures of him with his camera.
We went to see TB's surgeon this morning. The doctor's really pleased with his progress and said that TB could move to pureed foods and could even drive if he felt up to it! Then he said to me, at this rate I'd probably end up wanting a procedure like TB's. And I said I already do, a similar procedure but not the duodenal switch (DS). TB's next appointment is just after the New Year. I also made an appt for that day to talk about the lapband with one of the other doctors.
I have to admit, though, that the DS doesn't look so scary anymore.
Otherwise, we are hanging in by our fingernails, just managing to scrape by each month. We need TB's pension to really be more flexible with money but that won't be coming in until January...hopefully. So it looks like we're having a purely spiritual Christmas this year.
But this is supposed to be about the birth of Jesus anyway, right?
