GiST #7 & Thursday Memes

It's been a week since I started doing GiST and I'm so glad that another blog writer turned me on to it! Should that be on my list today? Hmmm...

Well, here goes my "up" thoughts for today:

GiST #7

1. I love having the time to visit other participants in GiST and other memes. I have such a wonderful opportunity to "meet" other people and learn about different experiences, opinions, cultures and faiths.

2. I've been on a peanut butter and jelly kick lately. Oh, yum! Toasted bread, butter, crunchy peanut butter and strawberry or grape jam!

3. I'm so blessed to have a handy husband. TB is in the laundry room now fixing our dryer. I'm sure he's saving us the coast of a new unit (talking over $1200 for a top/bottom unit) or, at minimum, hundreds in parts and labor. Truthfully, I don't think a service man would even bother to do all that repair. I think we'd be stuck for a new unit!

4. Chapstick! How something so little and insignicant could be such a comfort is a source of amazement! There's nothing like it for dry lips!

5. I do have happy memories of my father especially before our move to Baltimore. My family did have some good times and it helps to remember there've been happy days in my childhood.

1. If you won a brand new house in a Dream House Giveaway would you move into it, sell it to pay the taxes and make a profit, rent it out or give it to a family member/friend who might need it?
My first impulse was to say I'd live in it but...Uncle Sam would be there with his hand stuck out wouldn't he? If I have to pay taxes on it (because it's a gift), I'd have to sell it, pay the taxes, and move into something less dreamy but hopefully really really nice.

2. Are you good at billards? Not hardly.

3. Does anyone on the planet really want to see Levi Johnston naked in Playgirl (other than when Bristol Palin did)? Who is Levi Johnston? Oh...what, that's Bristol's ex? Oh, who cares!

4. Is your phone ringing right now? Nope and please don't call.

5. Do you think man has eaten or tried to eat every type of animal on the face of the earth at one point or another? If not, what don't you think man has tried?
If he's caught it, he's tried to eat it. :P

6. The new movie Avatar has been showing sneak peeks and been hyped to the max. Will you see it? No!

7. If a slightly bigger fish eats a small fish, then a bigger fish immediately eats that one, then an even bigger fish immediately eats that fish and then finally a huge fish eats the one that just ate that fish and it gets caught by you... how many meals will you have from that one fish? Ugh, depends on how much was digested, I guess

8. If you had an appointment with the doctor and all the plants in the office were dead, would you still see the doctor? I don't think so. Someone in that office doesn't care.

9. Have you ever seen the number 666 in a dream? Nope

10. "At 20 years of age the will reigns, at 30 the wit, at 40 the judgment."~ Benjamin Franklin
So what happens at 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100?
Well, I don't know that I agree with Franklin about when the wit reigns. I can't speak for 60 and above yet but at 50, I'd say the Pot Belly reigns. ;)

11. Would you want your phone number to be (area code) 123-4567? Sure! I like easy!
