Man Cat Monday: Kosmo Misses Daddy Bean

The doctor told TB that the problem seems to be something called lymphedema. Old fashioned fluid retention is just too mundane for us these days, we must get something we've never heard of or seems improbable to have.

So apparently there is no "cure" for lymphedema, there is only prevention. I was reading over the symptoms and, hypochondriac that I am, I have decided I must have it too!

Lymphedema symptoms include:

* Swelling of part of your arm or your entire arm or leg, including your fingers or toes
* A feeling of heaviness or tightness in your arm or leg
* Restricted range of motion in your arm or leg
* Aching or discomfort in your arm or leg
* Recurring infections in your affected limb
* Hardening and thickening of the skin on your arm or leg

Actually, what I have a lot of the time is the first two.

Treatment includes several different things, including compression garments. I think TB and I would look very fashionable in his and her compression stockings, don't you?

Now, I would like to think that now the doctors think they know what's going on they'll release TB from the hospital...but I sort of suspect they are going to run every test that exists for lymphedema first.

Maybe he'll get to come home tomorrow? All of us really want that so bad, we all miss him--particularly me. It is too weird in the house without him, too quiet, and too disturbing especially with this noisy nor'easter blowing around.

TB and I should be together here, chatting, relaxing and enjoying coffee and naps and other things while the wind blows and the rain pours. In a couple of hours, I'll be able to go visit so I'll be off then and probably not back online until tomorrow...unless I get to bring TB home today and then I'll be broadcasting the news like crazy!

Hmmmm... very fashionable indeed! Are you thinking the traditional pink and blue, or some other zany combo? ;-) Glad they are still making progress with the diagnosis, but I hope they get him home to you soon!!!

Cassie my sweet darling, you are the best thing since sliced bread. I am the most blessed and luckiest man in the universe to have found you.Your love for me makes me complete. I miss you too, and all the things that we do together, we may be able to do real soon. I think they will let me go home after I have finished another bag of IV antibiotics. Boy-o-boy I can't wait!

Well, we are surely hoping TB will be back to good health & back home again soon -- with all he needs to do and know to prevent this from happening again. Tell Kirstin that's the best looking cake we've seen since furrever; pretty cakes never taste quite as good you know! And happy belated birthday to Bill; hot dogs & baked beans are our Number-One Favorite Meal; he's a wise young man! Best wishes and many prayers going out for all of you...
