This is one of my all time favorite pictures. I took this one morning in Ocean City Maryland, sometime in the summers between 1974 and 1976. I used to go down to the beach and wait for the sun to come up. I thought it was the most beautiful sight in the world and I loved the calming sound of the surf.

Saturday 9: Summer Movies and Oil
1. The other day I purchased gas for $3.96, which was less than the $4.37 my local station charges per gallon. What is the current gas price in your area for regular? Gas came down a bit over the last couple of days. I saw it for $3.88 just down the road from us...we'd better fill up before the price goes up again!
2. Will your vacation plans be altered by the price of gas? Absolutely!
3. Is there any movie this summer that you're looking forward to seeing? Not really
4. Gas prices aside, what is your favorite vacation destination? Any place on the ocean!
5. Will you watch more film on DVD than in theaters this summer? Definitely; we've been doing that the last couple of years anyway
6. Will you fly anywhere this summer? NO. WAY.
7. Guess: How high will a gallon of gas peak at?
I can see it going up to about $4.50 or so by July 4th
8. Will gas prices effect who you vote for in this fall's election? Possibly but there are other issues as well
9. How much will the price of home heating oil effect you? It won't. We have all electric which is just about as bad

Do you have any siblings and do you get along with them?
I have a brother two and a half years younger than me. We've had our ups and downs. When he was little, I felt protective of him. When he got to be 8 or 10, he was a bit of a pain and I used to beat him up until he got strong enough to fight back. As teens, we pretty much ignored each other. We had a big falling out in our 20s but have since made up and are getting along very well.
