Cats on Tuesday: How to stay warm on a cold morning!

CATS ON TUESDAY is a group of cat lovers who share pictures and/or stories about their cats once a week, hosted by Gattina.

Munchkin, Mom-Bean & Dad-Bean want to thank everyone for their suggestions about her pooping issue! We're trying out all the suggestions. First thing we did was get an uncovered litterbox, showed her where it was ... and later that day, she pooped on the floor in our bathroom. Not sure if it's because someone else in the gang found it too or if it's because it's actually a territorial or smell issue. The box is still out and next time we'll try a different kind of litter.

It's been pretty cold here the last 10 days or so and the wind chill makes the temperatures feel colder. When the wind blows hard, it's freezing. We don't run the heat that high to save money and sometimes it feels cold in the house too. But there's ways to keep warm! We beans put on our sweaters and cover ourselves with extra blankets.

Here's some of the strategies the gang uses:

The cat tree is covered with a nice material that warms up nicely in the sun

Kosmo likes his sunshine on the back of the sofa

So does Mouse, but then he also curls himself up into a ball for additional heat!

Sunshine always works. We keep our house heat low, too, to save energy. It might seem high to you. 62 during the day 60 at night. What do you do?

try putting some soil in the litter box. it works 90% of the time.

It's always nice to stay warm. Mine like to lay where the heater vent is blowing on them or in a window where the sun comes through.

Great places to stay warm!
We have 21°F. All cats are looking for the best place in the house. Near the radiator or the woodstove.

Take care and stay warm!

Oh dear, it probably could be the smell issue. The kitties look snug huddled in their own individual place.

What a peaceful scene, lol ! Sorry that you haven't found yet a solution to the poo problem, there must be one keep on trying. I think it took me almost a year to find out why Lisa pissed everywhere, often under the kitchen table ! Real lakes, it was awful. Yes Rosie brought real mice home and dropped them in food and water ! Nice view when you get up early morning, lol !

Ha ha, our post was about the fight to keep warm, too. Cats have an advantage with that silky fur! Happy COT. :)
